ABOUT US

Dr Richard Abicair has been a dentist for over 30 years having graduated from the University of Melbourne. He also has post graduate qualifications majoring in Prosthodontics; Crowns, Bridges and Dental Implants. He has been a Convenor and an Examiner for the Australian Dental Council in the area of Clinical Prosthodontics and Periodontics. He has also been on the professional standards panel with the Dental Practice Board of Victoria. Dr Abicair is currently an Associate Professor within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne where he teaches prosthodontics at the Melbourne Dental School. 

 

Dr Abicair is passionate about his profession, providing quality dentistry to patients with an emphasis on the replacement of missing teeth and cosmetic dentistry. He has been a member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, the Australian Osseointegration Society, Australian Society of Endontology, Australian Society of Periodontology and the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry. He is currently a member of the the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the Australian Dental Association.

Dr Abicair is married with 3 children; Richard, Daniel and Leah, and was the proud recipient of an Order of Australia Award on Australia Day 2002 and a Centennial Medal in 2003 for his community work.
