Preventative care is our primary focus at Excellence in Dentistry. Accumulation of plaque on your teeth can lead to gingivitis (inflammation of gums) which can present as bleeding gums on brushing. Gingivitis, if left untreated, may lead to more serious periodontal disease and eventual tooth mobility and tooth loss.

After a comprehensive periodontal evaluation of the state of your periodontal tissues (gums and surrounding bone support), we will customise an appropriate hygiene program for you including an ideal home dental care routine and scheduling of appropriate periodontal treatment visits if required.

Regular hygienist appointments and optimal home care are essential to the long term health of your teeth and gums and the maintenance of your restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry.

 

Our preventative care services also include routine dental examinations, dietary advice, education in brushing and flossing techniques, night-guards, saliva testing, cancer examinations and mouth guards.
